The City of Weirton’s principal charity, the Weirton United Way supports our Member Agencies which provide a vital social infrastructure for the people of the community.
By supporting the Weirton United Way, you enable our Member Agencies to feed the hungry, help the poor, inspire a child, care for the elderly, comfort the sick, wipe-out illiteracy, relieve suffering in disaster, unite the community and change our world.
Our Focus
United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. Many families and individuals in our community rely on the programs and services provided by the United Way Member Agencies. Most are looking for extra help with basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter.
You can trust that any donation made to the Weirton United Way will be used in the most efficient manner and truly will make a difference. Our member agencies are proven-they have existed for years and do a thankless job for many in our community and because our donations to the Weirton United Way stay local, we help our neighbors and fellow community members directly through our support of these agencies.
